He was rushed to the Niagara Hospital right after the match and I saw Hacker and Inferno Adams rushing out shortly after the event ended to go to the hospital and check on his fellow workers. The he calls out Los Jalapeno to come out and give a retirement speech. Jalopeno tells everyone that he is retiring from the ring and gives a heartfelt, out of character speech, thanking the fans and even JT Playa for providing the voice during his promos.

Completely Cody Steele beat Sinn with a pinfall. After the match Textbook Tyson Dux comes out and attacks Cody.

Team Wrestleplex (Shawn Spears & The Gnarly Hippy Floyd Osbourne) against Team TJ (TJ Harley & Ash) went to a no contest when Ash could not continue after being on the receiving end of a Hippy piledriver.

Stu Hart passes away posted October 16, 2003

Stu Hart has passed away this afternoon from complications of pneumonia and diabetes at the age of 88. Our prayers and thoughts are with the Hart family who have suffered yet another loss. The following is from 1wrestling.com:

"Stu Hart, the patriarch of the famous Hart wrestling family, passed away this afternoon from complications of pneumonia in Calgary, Albert Canada. He was 88.

Hart, one of the biggest names in professional wrestling to ever come out of Canada, had been hospitalized at Rockyview Hospital while being treated for an elbow infection stemming from a fall from home and a swollen stomach believed to have been caused by a intestinal infection. While in the hospital, Hart developed pneumonia.

Hart, the father of Bret Hart and the late Owen Hart, had a hand with training a number of top wrestling stars in the infamous "Dungeon" as well as promoting one of the more famous Canadian wrestling territories, Stampede Wrestling.

Hart's life had been told in the biography Stu Hart: Lord of the Ring by Martha Erb, published in March 2002."

Ontario Indy Wrestling and the LAW posted October 5, 2003

As many of you already know, I have been trying to get The LAW (Live Audio Wrestling) to promote Ontario independent wrestling much more on their weekly 2 hour radio show. I called in on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003 (while my car was getting towed) and commented on the fact that the WWE PPV was a pretty bad event and that I still had a bone to pick to the LAW for not promoting Ontario's indies because they are in many ways more entertaining than the WWE as of late. Host, Dan Lovranski then cut me off when he realized it was me and told the listeners that they try but would only promote legit companies. Now I agree that backyarders have no place in pro wrestling and I would never promote a backyard promotion on this website. I had emailed Dan a list of upcoming shows by sanctioned indy companies as he requested me to do and there was no mention of those shows on the September 21st broadcast. That night I was ready to write a lengthy commentary on this site urging everyone to stop listening and supporting The LAW as they have no interest in promoting local wrestling.

A week went by and I listened to the LAW on September 28th. Low and behold they did mention the Ring Wars and NSPW events that were coming up in the next week. I tried getting through to comment on the TWE show that took place on Sept 27th and to thank them for finally promoting indy shows and to urge them to continue to do so but there was not enough time left to get me on the air so I told the screener to thank Dan for me. Hopefully the LAW will continue to promote the great independent wrestling scene here in Ontario in the weeks and months to come.

On another note, I have to thank canoe.ca's Slam Sports for giving this site an unsolicited plug in their wrestling news and rumours section on September 24, 2003:

"Speaking of the Ontario wrestling scene, kudos to Emanuel Melo for the continued good work with his Ontario Independent Wrestling site. Very cool. Check it out at www.ontindywrestling.cjb.net."

Thanks for the plug and be sure to check out Slam Wrestling as they do a great job of covering independent wrestling across Canada regularly.

Ted Dibiase's Oshawa church show posted October 4, 2003

Ok, so although this event did have some religious preaching it apparently was not as religious as the 100 Huntley Street evangelist show portrayed it to be. Reported attendance was quite large at about 2500 people. You can read a great review of the show on Cody Steele's Message Board but here are the quick results:

Hacker beat Tyson Dux. Before the match started Dibiase came out and said that everyone has a price and "bought" The Hacker to do what Ted wanted. Ted tripped Tyson to allow Hacker to get the pin.

"Showtime" Eric Young pinned Joe E. Legend

Chris Sabin beat Johnny Ova in a ladder match

The Road Warriors Beat "Buff" Bagwell and Greg Valentine

This is now a quote from Fallen Angel's review as found on Cody Steele's message board as to what happened after the main event match:

"After the show, there was a dramatic presentation
featuring Hawk tied up, as he was surrounded by demons.
He was being pushed down in the ground for 5 mins, and he was stumbling around until a Loud Booming voice came through the auditorium, calling for him. Then some ex-football player who was doing the ring announcing for the show (I think his name was Brian Winters from the CFL), was talking to Hawk, and leading him through a prayer.

He was talking about his drug abuse, alcholism, and rowdy ways he lived his life, but Brian said that with the power of prayer, "You will be freed from your sins", and after he lead him through the prayer, he got up and broke through the chains.

Ted DiBease also held a sermon after the show where
and The Road Warriors, Bagwell and Valentine all said
something about how God changed their lives... "

Mikey Madrox school-boyed 'Sexy Baby' Jamie Jackson while Jackson argued with the referee, resulting in a pin.
Xzibit and Magnificent Matthew defeated Iron Mike Albright and Johnny GeoBasco, followed by Albright turning on GeoBasco and giving him a lariat followed by a belly-to-belly suplex.

"Showtime" Eric Young Beat "Sparkling" James Champagne
The Gnarly Hippy won a Battle Royal last eliminating The Hacker
"Bloody" Bill Skullion Beat Knoxx of Body Count in a Hardcore Match, the finish saw Bill chug some lighter fluid and blew a huge fireball onto Knoxx. Really interesting finish.

Overall it was a decent show. Some say the Hardcore match was a bit too violent considering they were at a mall with many young kids at ringside but I didn't think it was inappropriate and I didn't notice any of the parents leaving in disgust. I thought match of the night was a toss up between the Cody/Hacker and Showtime/Champagne, they were both great matches as far as wrestling was concerned although the hardcore match was very entertaining as well. I look forward to more shows from TWE in the future. Watch for exclusive photos of the event right here in the coming weeks.
