Random news posted May 30, 2005

Just some random info I found out at the IAW show on Sunday:

Aurora is going to Mexico to wrestle. She's leaving today and said she would be there "as long as I can". I wish her the best of luck to her down there.

There was a bit of shooting at the IAW inaugural event in Burlington. During last nights IAW Gladiator battle royal. Hayden put himself into the match and then legit refused to get thrown out. Many in attendance were disgusted with Hayden's actions and thought that although it may have started as a harmless rib, it went too far. Others involved in the match began to hit Hayden with some stiff shots to the head with a wet floor sign when they realized he wasn't getting out. Hayden apologized in the back saying it was all in good fun but many were extremely upset about it.

Also was told that Kwan Chang is now wrestling full time and has quit his day job. Way to go Kwan.

CIWA May 15, 2005:

Reggie Marley beat Asylum in the opener to retain his Ontario Provincial Championship.
The South Side Stranglers took on an unusual team. Robbie McAllister, former Tag Team Champ with the Highlanders, and the Tyrant Eric Dawson former tag Team Champ with the Texas Hellrazors. Poor Dawson was supposed to be in action with Scott Chase, but he obviously chickened out.
McAllister quickly got the offensive moves on the Stranglers, followed by the Tyrant. But unexpectedly, The Highlander turned on the Tyrant, allowing the Stranglers to deliver a Spine buster and a Top rope elbow for the win.

Jones made an open challenge to all Peterbrough Residents sitting in the audience who were willing to face The Sport...which was unfortunately taken up by a local Peterborough nobody....he got the hell beat out of him for it...poor kid...if only he hadnt been carrying that sign.....

Cody Steele, fresh off his nacho stealing fiasco with Visera on WWE last Monday night, took on Dangerboy Derek Wylde......Cody won the match ....

The next 1st Round Tag Team Tournament match saw Johnny Fonzerelli and Shawn Morgan versus TJ Harley and his partner Kris Chambers....although Fonzerelli was the highlight of this match with his clumsy antics in the ring and his cigarette smoking shenanigans, Harley and Chambers came out with a solid win to advance to the finals of the Tag Team Tournament

Jake O'Reilly took on Impact Eddie Osbourne in an electrifying match with Jake being victorious....

The main event had Ruffy Silverstein vs. Sean Spears....this match was to have seen Commissioner Jodie Jenkins handcuffed to the ring....well Jodie ran off like a scared little school girl and Cody was sent in his place....Cody managed to get the key from the official and get himself loose.....Ruffy was able to get the pin on Spears and was declared the victor and the new CIWA Champion....however, those cuffs somehow mysteriously ended up in Ruffy's tights and was found by the Official...Ruffy was immediately disqualified...and Spears retaining the Championship....a rematch will take place June 19th is a "Falls Count Anywhere...No Disqualification Match"...should be good...

Border City Wrestling results:
Nobody's Fool
Friday, April 15, 2005, 7:30 p.m.
Hellenic Banquet Halls in Oldcastle, Ontario, Canada:

PHIL ATLAS & JIMMY JACOBS defeated GEZA KALMAN, JR. & JOHNNY BRAVO w/"SMOOTH MOVER" CHRIS PILLON & JIMMY TRUMP. Pre-match, Trump told everyone that although they had some problems, tonight Atlas & Jacobs would learn that they are on the same page. Pillon said that although he has a shoulder injuiry, he planned on sitting right there so that [Trump] wouldn't screw up. The end came for the Trump Card when Bravo held Atlas for Trump to hit with a crutch, but Pillon and Trump began arguing over who would get to hit Atlas. Bravo accidentally got nailed by the crutch instead, and Atlas took advantage for the pin and the win.

J.T. PLAYA pinned CODY STEELE with the Playa Kick.

EDDIE VENOM beat TNA Gutcheck winner JON BOLEN. When Bolen collided with a turnbuckle, Venom used the tights to roll him up for the win.

N8 MATTSON & DANNY DANIELS w/JENNIFER retained the BCW Tag Team Titles over GUTTER & TYSON DUX. Unfortunately Dux & Gutter could not stay on the same page, and Gutter accidentually laid out Dux with a Diamond Gutter, allowing N8 to score the pinfall.

PETEY WILLIAMS beat EL REVERSO, "DANGERBOY" DEREK WYLDE and JOSH ABERCROMBIE in a fatal four-way to determine the number one contender for the BCW TV Title. Williams pinned Abercrombie with a picture-perfect Canadian Destroyer.

BCW TV Champion CHRIS SABIN wrestled AMAZING RED to a no contest. After a double pinfall, the match was ruled a no contest. However, it was then announced that Amazing Red would return at BCW's next event against both Petey Williams and Chris Sabin in a three-way dance, with the BCW TV Title up for grabs.

KRIS CHAMBERS & SHANTELLE beat ALEX SHELLEY & JAIME D. Chambers pinned Shelley after a superkick.

"DIAMOND" DAVE LOCKBAUM from The Rock 95.1 FM came out to the ring. After making some snide remarks about defeating Jimmy Hart in a tag team match at New Year's Revolution, and some sarcastic comments regarding the fans, Lockbaum was surprised when he was joined by none other than "THE FRANCHISE" SHANE DOUGLAS. Franchise told the arrogant Lockbaum that if there's one thing Canadians know, it's wrestling. He told Lockbaum that he'd spoken to Jimmy Hart, and that he has plans for him. He sent Lockbaum out of the ring, and turned his attention to his business at hand. Douglas said BCW called him looking for a fair man, a referee to call the main event right down the middle. He told them he's definitely not that guy, but if they wanted someone to keep order, to knock someone around if they get out of line, and someone to make sure the fans see a great match, he's the man. He said he has issues with Sean Waltman dating back to an incident with the Clique in 1995, and that he loves to dish out receipts. Douglas said A-1 isn't the Heavyweight Champion, because [Douglas] never lost it. He then called all four men out to the ring for the main event.

SEAN WALTMAN & SCOTT D'AMORE defeated JOE DOERING & BCW Heavyweight Champion "MR. CLASS" A-1 w/JADE with SHANE DOUGLAS as the guest referee. With everyone down and out, Franchise was left holding a steel chair. He pretended he was going to hit Waltman, but instead clobbered A-1. Waltman delivered the X-Factor and D'Amore landed his patented moonsault for the pinfall.

Border City Wrestling, April 15 in Oldcastle, Ontario. Phil Atlas & Jimmy Jacobs beat Geza Kalman, Jr. & Johnny Bravo w/Jimmy Trump & "Smooth Mover" Chris Pillon. J.T. Playa pinned Cody Steele. Eddie Venom defeated Jon Bolen. N8 Mattson & Danny Daniels w/Jennifer retained the BCW Tag Team Titles against Tyson Dux & Gutter. Petey Williams became the number one contender to the BCW TV Title, defeating El Reverso, Josh Abercrombie & "Dangerboy" Derek Wylde in a fatal four-way. Brad Martin pinned Conrad Kennedy III (CK3). BCW TV Champion Chris Sabin NC Amazing Red. Kris Chambers & Shantelle defeated Alex Shelley & Jaime D. Sean Waltman & Scott D'Amore defeated Joe Doering & BCW Heavyweight Champion "Mr. Class" A-1 w/Jade, with "The Franchise" Shane Douglas as the guest referee.

PWX April 24, 2005 in Tillsonburg, Ontario

Maddog / Sports Generation / PD Skillz
The show opened with Maddog and Jessy Jones announcing that they had crippled the X Superstar Kaos the night before, rendering him unable to fight for the X Division Title. Jessy then announced that he would be choosing a new opponent to fight and that opponent was Jayson Chambers. With Kaos on the sidelines, PD Skillz came out as head representative of the X Division and challenged Jessy Jones to an X Title rematch right there on the spot. Jessy quickly turned him down, but offered an alternative...Eddie Osbourne ( fellow Sports Generation Member) vs. PD Skillz. PD accepted and the match began.

Pro Division
Singles Match
Eddie Osbourne vs. PD Skillz

Winner by Pinfall - PD Skillz
The two went toe to toe in a very technical match. PD managed to best the technician, even with the Sports Generation's (Jessy Jones, Jacqui Jones and Precise Paul Wright ) countless efforts to interfere in the match. After losing, Eddie had a small tantrum and stormed out of the building.

X Division
Strap Match
Predator vs. Freak Show
Winner by Pinfall - Freak Show
This match featured the wrestlers bound at the wrist by a 16 foot strap. Freak Show displayed innovation and creativity and used the strap to his advantage at several occasions. The strap also made as an excellent weapon for choking and whipping. Predator pulled off his finisher early on, but Freak Show managed to overcome and take the win in the end.

Singles Match
Hayden Avery vs. Dark Soul
Winner by Pinfall - Hayden Avery
This match was originally slated to be Hayden Avery vs. PD Skillz. However, PD Skillz forfeited the match by facing Eddie Osbourne earlier in the show. This being Hayden's PWX debut, he wanted to showcase his talents. Hayden made an open challenge to face the first X'er that came out from the back. Out ran Joey Reveal, Ricky James, Tek 9, and Buck 10. Dark Soul slowly trailed behind them. Hayden made it very clear that he would only be taking on one opponent. Dark Soul then made quick work of disposing of each and every other one of the X'ers in the ring. The two heavyweights did battle with an arsenal of power moves that demonstrated their brut strength. After suffering a choke slam by Dark Soul, Hayden managed to pull off his patented Pile Driver to take the win.

X Division Super Omega 450 Battle
Singles Match
Eclypse vs Evan Storm

Winner by Pinfall - Evan Storm
This match featured a couple of the top high flyers of the PWX. The wrestlers spent the majority of the match on the top ropes and in the air. The match could have been over quickly as Eclypse went for his innovative half-twisting 450 Phoenix splash. Evan luckily evaded this move, and battled back delivering back to back 450 splashes of his own. Evan Storm, Super Omega winner of this battle.

Singles Match
Quinson Valentino vs. Jeff Black
Winner by Pinfall - Quinson Valentino
This was a high energy match that quickly got the crowd hyped up and screaming for more. Quinson, with his crushed velvet pants, beat, bloodied and bruised Jeff Black. When Quinson scored the 3 count he rose to the deafening disapproval of the fans.

Title Match
Jessy Jones (c) vs. Jayson Chambers
Winner by Submission - Jessy Jones
Jessy Jones made his way down to ringside in gear befitting the X champ. The 2 wrestlers battled throughout the auditorium in true X style. Even Jessy's lovely wife Jacqui took a wet floor sign to the face. It looked as tough X star Jayson Chambers was going to pull off the upset, when Jessy's manager, Precise Paul Wright, started attacking the injured Kaos at ring side. As Jayson went to save his fellow X'er, Jessy Jones took advantage and retained his X Strap.

Title Match
Derek Wylde vs. Cody Steele (c)
Winner by DQ - Cody Steele
This match took a few minutes to get underway as Derek Wylde exhibited "chicken-like " behaviour. Once started, the match was fast paced and exciting. The crowd was into it right from the word GO! Derek's valet, Jen Blake, caused nothing but trouble for PWX champion Cody Steele. She almost cost Cody the belt when she handed Derek a set of brass knuckles as the ref's back was turned. In fact, Derek was able to use the foreign object and get the 3 count and the initial win. However, in his stupidity, Derek left the brass knuckles hanging out of his shorts. When the ref spotted this, he reversed his decision and gave Cody the win based on a disqualification. Cody then quickly grabbed the mic and challenged Derek Wylde to a re-match at the June 5 show in Mount Elgin, as he wanted to beat Derek fair and square as opposed to winning by a DQ.
